White Water Coaching on River Dee
On a very wet day in Lancashire the Paddlers had a great day down on the River Dee, using the facilities at River Active, in lovely sunny weather.
It all started off with a safety brief and warm up
The water levels were high, which meant that the conditions were challenging for some of beginners and more experienced paddlers. We had a few swims, some great rescues and in some cases quite a long walk.
We did our bit and removed a ladder washed down in the high water into a weir
In the end everyone came away with big smiles and a real sense of achievement, the coaches and leaders came away deserving their well earnt rest.
